Is there an accurate documentary on the previous crashes?

I know we can find data comparing it all, the internet still works. I can also ask AI. I'm sure I can also go on YT and find a bunch of shocked-face-expression thumbnails to lure me into trash videos. What I'm curious about is if there are regarded video documentaries on previous market crashes including the lead up, what happened and the outcome.

Inside Job was pretty good but a bit biased

Patrick Boyle does a pretty good explainer of the Black Monday crash in '87.

John Kenneth Galbraith - The Great Crash 1929 It's a book, but..... It was as relevant for 2008 as it was for 1929, and I think it'll be just as relevant for the next one.

Things change but human behavior stays the same.

This isn't a documentary but I wrote a research analysis  on the most volatile days starting with the Dotcom bubble, they're broken up based on time frames but you dig through dates to see what attracts you the most.  https://infolib.org/library/economics

The flash crash was my favorite trading day ever. I just kept on clicking mkt buy and every time the screen refreshed what I was buying had dropped another 10%. Oh to be young and dumb, FAS was my ticker of choice that day.

Titans of Wall Street/Netflix six part series. Leaving soon. Not quite what you asked for but it goes through the history of finance as we know it. You will recognize the names from today. It’s really great to nerd out on. Then you’re like damn, he supported the Nazis.

I think inside the meltdown is great because you get to see all the inside players and the stress they were under. The first time Sec of Treasury Timothy G. got in front of cameras the mkt absolutely melted down because he did so poorly. I was trying to take a nap and it was so obvious I jumped up and started unloading.  https://www.pbs.org/video/frontline-insid…

    Read Andrew Ross Sorkin’s 1929.

Absolutely. Echoes of 1929 all over the place in 2026. Imagine if the next great crash is in 2029!

There is a frontline on the crash of 1929 and at least two frontlines on the housing market crash. I remember it took me awhile to find the 1929 one as it is rather old but its good. Also, Andrew Ross Sorkin's book, 1929 is excellent.

Here’s a 2008 threads compilation. Some tough reads in here https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopi…

Books/audible are best I’m afraid. “1873” is all the rage this month, even Satya and company are reading it. And of course, Sorkin’s “1929” from last year. I lived 2000-2001 with money in the market and yet I can’t think of a good book on it, nor on 1987 which I also sort of remember. Quite a few books on 2008 though. Sorkin again jumps out, “Too Big To Fail”

No there is no documentary that is going to contain the hidden secret to market crashes which the market is ignoring but we will provide to you. I wouldn't trust myaelf with my own money if I were you. Well I guess I would, since I'd be you not me, but I shouldn't.

Try to find the documentary about Paul Tudor Jones and the 1987 stock market crash. Goes over a lot of stuff in real time.

We all have access to the same videos and information you have but those of us that got to experience y2k, 2008, and covid remember it like it just happened. Everything great and then not. Those of us that had cash sitting on the sidelines jumped in with both feet and bought whatever was on sale. I did so well in y2k that I held 30% cash from then on using it to buy every dip and sell off when I saw a 3% upside and in addition I was ready for 2008 and covid.

I find Buffett’s comments on crashes helpful whether its through the annual meetings or interviews.
