u/big-papito 1 1 day agoI actually don't care because just under a half of Americans are OK with blatant corruption. Once the population gives up on basic laws and decency, there is no point in having a civilized country or pretend that we are one. Burn it all down and start from scratch.

u/StickyNebbs 1 1 day agogreased hands and unsavory back room deals are far and away from the self enrichment that the trump family has been doing. i know it gets memed to death but jimmy carter had to put his warehouse business in a blind trust that did so poorly he actually lost money on it. Trump has made over 2 billion dollars in 18 months

-
u/MiltTheStilt 1 1 day agoGood luck with that. If they win they’ll be cowards and say that it’s better to “let the country heal” instead of going after him. Just look at what happened when they had four years in power after Jan 6.

u/CloudStrife012 1 1 day agoMore like if dems are to put a stop to insider trading, what does that mean for Nancy Pelosi?
-
u/king_of_the_potato_p 1 1 day agoNearly all of them really. People somehow think there’s actually a red vs blue when that’s just the dog and pony show. They seem to work pretty damn well together when it comes to lining their pockets.

-
u/bin10pac 1 14 hours agoWhy would Trump want to investigate a fellow politician for corruption? He's not stupid. By not investigating he tells Democrats what things are off limits. He is telling them: I won't come after your self-enrichment, you don't come after mine.

Various wall street firms like Citadel are able to capitalize on millisecond advantages in information and make $$$ off that before the market reacts. u/UnableChard2613 1 23 hours agoThe firm I work with absolutely scans the news for their options trading strategy. Trump's twitter account probably has it's own special high-speed feed specifically because every ms they start trading this before other firms is worth millions of dollars.
