US Close To A "Peace Deal" Again...

Pakistan said on Tuesday the United States were close to "some sort" of deal, and fellow mediator Qatar said talks on managing the Strait of Hormuz were at an advanced stage, despite reports of new attacks on shipping in regional waters. The comments offered some hope that the U.S. can end a stalemate that has in effect blocked the vital waterway, through which a fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas flowed before the war. Prospects for a deal had appeared to dim on Monday after the sides' latest remarks and demands. Oil fell back on Tuesday after hitting a one-week high earlier in trading although it remains much higher than before the war. Iran said on Sunday it was nearing a final pact with Oman defining new shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz, which runs between them, but said that in itself would not open the waterway unless the U.S. met certain conditions. Those conditions were largely in line with a memorandum of understanding to end the conflict that was reached between Washington and Tehran in June and included compensation and an end to sanctions and military threats. Just yesterday Iren said they won't make any deals until 2029, what kinda clown show is this? But it seems like Trump will definitely cave this time around with any sort of deal. Oil and Gold is down, seems like Leap plays is the way to go from here. Good Luck everyone -Bloomberg/Reuters

Reddit can stop posting about Iran everyday. Iran said themselves no deal until 2029. No need for the daily updates, no need for the back and forth. See you in 2029. In reality they need daily news and this is the only thing that gets engagement so they continue to report and post the same nonsense.

As soon as you see oil prices climbing up around $80-90, there is always a deal in sight or a framework of a deal. Thats how market manipulation works.

Exactly. It’s scheduled bullshit but the algorithms somehow keep following it. If any normal person did this they’d go to jail.
  6. u/ALth0r 1 22 hours ago
Can you jail an algorithm ?
  7. u/WinterDice 1 22 hours ago
You can prosecute the people coordinating and participating in the market manipulation. Someone is calling the shots on when to make the statements, someone is writing the tweets and press releases, etc.

Don’t worry ! Oil will hit 120. If USA let this happen other countries will do the same and the dollar will no longer be the global reserve currency

That's the price of futures, though. His words won't matter in a few months when the shock hits the world.
  10. u/Sierra_Bravo6 1 22 hours ago
Ah yes. And then the markets will go up again, and they’ll tell you “it’s already priced in”

But if you pay Trump $100,000, you can get your insider bets in, and it's all legalish

A peace deal with Iran means full control of the strait; I doubt they will settle for less. Regime change and the nuclear program are out of the picture now, since the hardliners are in full control

This is going to drag out till Trump’s term ends. Don’t hold your breath.

I had thought that he would capitulate quickly, but he seems to be taking after his mentor, Putin. That said, the midterms are a big deal. If Iran won't negotiate with Trump, I could see them negotiating with Congress. Or maybe congress just unilaterally decides to pull out.
  20. u/Trahst_no1 1 1 day ago
It’s not like congress approved this war in the first place.
  21. u/mzakieh 1 23 hours ago
According to Trump, it’s not a war. Just bombings.

Trump got nothing to offer or threaten with any more. He broke the stick and ate the carrot.

We are just swimming in peace deals, this is like the 40th one just with Iran!
  29. u/Mojoint 1 1 day ago
Some sort of deal... sounds totally real and not made up at all.

Iran isn't even negotiating until 2029, who exactly is Pakistan talking to? Oh right, market manipulation.

Peace means people keep dying, and oil keeps going up, guys.

Did we get permission from Israel to make a deal this time? Should probably ask the people in charge this time.

Iran said they're willing to wait out until 2029 when Trump's term ends. Who are you going to believe?

The dumbass who cried “peace deal” apparently wasn’t read “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” as a child.
  42. u/ForBirmingham205 1 23 hours ago
I have been hearing this since April..There isn't a deal. Iran will never make a deal. Trump will never make a deal. I don't believe anything coming out of Trump's mouth on this situation, Iran's mouth, Pakistan or Turkey or whatever country. This is a clown show
  43. u/ElectricGuy777 1 22 hours ago
Anything Trump says is a lie. Believe it when it happens.

One day Iran rules out deals, next talks advance. This rollercoaster keeps oil and gold traders on edge.
  48. u/quietjpeg 1 14 hours ago
Exactly. Until the headlines stabilize, oil and gold are basically trading every rumor and reversal.

"Just yesterday Iren said they won't make any deals until 2029, what kinda clown show is this?" They're The IRGC knows exactly what they're doing. They going to continue to humiliate Trump and the U.S. to the extent they possibly can. They will be willing to suffer a lot for this because it's existential for them. On top of that, we killed their direct link to God. I know it's hard for most people in the West to understand this, but they do take that rather seriously. Even those who most despised the regime itself are committed Shia. In any case, I continue to believe they won't cave until they've hurt the U.S and the world badly enough to convince the world they shouldn't be messed with.
