I can’t decide if trading from group chats is genius or insane

Crypto trading groups are still split between chat, alerts, wallets and whatever platform you use to execute. Going from seeing a trade discussed to placing it without jumping between apps sounds pretty convenient but mixing execution directly into group chats feels like it could get sketchy fast. Is this something you’d use with real money?

I'd try it with tiny amounts first. The convenience sounds great, but chat accounts get compromised all the time and one bad permission setup could turn a useful feature into a very expensive mistake.

I think the appeal is less about speed and more about context. Seeing the discussion, reasoning and execution in one place could make trades easier to follow, especially in active groups. I'd just want the actual transaction approval to stay completely under the user's control.

This exists in many forms on Telegram as bots

Yeah I've seen the Telegram bots but I'm not really a fan of using Telegram for it.

Do the opposite and you will make more almost without exception

Trading from the same place the conversation is happening makes way more sense than bouncing between a group chat, charts, and a wallet every few minutes. Been using Towns and that tighter chat + onchain setup is probably the part I like most. Having the chat and onchain actions in one place just makes the whole experience a lot smoother :)

The useful part for me is keeping the conversation and the onchain stuff connected. I’ve been using Towns and being able to have bots work directly inside the group makes it feel less like another chat app and more like a proper tool for crypto communities.

Well you have to put all this chat into AI and then you really will have to try 👀
