Experienced Singapore FAs: would you consider a new opportunity if you weren't actively job hunting?

For advisors who are currently doing well where they are: What would make you willing to at least have a conversation with another company/team? I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who aren't actively looking for a job but would still consider a move if the opportunity was compelling enough. What would that opportunity need to offer?

    Buyout package with no targets.

Equal or better platform to service existing clients without any drop to ease of use for client and advisor. A clear chain of "cost and benefit", how the manager and director is going to profit off the agents and how much support is coming from them. There are those managers and directors that recruit as many as possible to just override the commission without investing anything else and there are agencies pumping almost their entire revenue into fixed costs to help support their agents. But agents who are doing well, very very rarely change company unless they have conflict with their management. Why change a working formula, and risk client trust by changing company.

Do you think recruiters and companies are hiring from other companies or the unemployed? Let me give you a hint - those unemployed go to the bottom of the pile. I.e. most of the interviews and offers go to people currently doing well in their companies.

Just sell ILPs to your parents

I dunno why people down voted you. Tbh if they truly believe in their product they will up vote you. If they think that ilp truly benefit the people they are selling than I dun see that selling to parents is a bad things.

Downvoted because the answer is unrelated to the qn.

I am not surprised that most of the FAs/Agents do that. You will be taught that ILP can solve every insurance need, when they join this industry.

Nothing. Makes very little financial sense to move unless you really hate your team or company. You give up your clients if you jump and more likely will have to force yourself to churn (cancel old company buy new company). 90% of the time, clients would be worse off. If you keep overheads low, you can be pretty comfortable. Just dont be stupid buy watch, expensive car, commit condo and flashy things. Problem is, many groups pressure you to overcommit on things you dont need —> stress to hit KPI or pay off liabilities —> missell and get into trouble. Same for property agents, Thats why industry is tainted.

my friend’s group’s leader told him to take a loan to buy rolex… in the name of “so you will work harder” 🤷🏼‍♀️ glad you are wise enough to not do that

Talking about buying a car, I heard a story of a major prominent insurance group making a deal with a continental car dealer; he would bring most of his agents to the showroom and car salesmen, and the director would pressure them to sign on the spot with a down payment. So they can work harder to maintain your expensive car and make more money for thier group director.
