Singapore full time trader advice

Hi, are there any full time traders here? Was wondering how do individuals operate on a company basis? Understand some opens a pte ltd and then contribute cpf using the company? In that case does it mean that the stock account has to be opened under that company for accounting purposes? What about accounting for your expenses if you are working from home trading? How do you justify what are your expenses like utilities bills on how many % is assigned on work?

Not sure if my advice is the right one, no tax for capital tax gain but if you do it as a biz/full timer, then you have to pay tax. Think about it a little. Are you successful enough to commit to it, but if you are, think about all the admin and reporting you have to do to IRAS, and opening of account is not as easy as individual.

Why do you need to operate on a company basis? You can just do it as a self-employed individual and contribute CPF.

You’re better off not operating it via a company. Instead just do it from your own trading account. It’s fuss free with no capital gain tax. You can always pledge funds for mortgage loans. If your concern is to draw a salary or using it for loan purposes/credit card then maybe your account size is too small 😂

If you don't incorporate a company, you don't really need to pay income tax even if it's a full-time thing, since it's generally viewed as a personal investment. That said IRAS can use some factors to determine the existence of a trade. There was a post from a year ago on this topic.
