When should couples consider counselling?

Something I've been thinking about lately: does a couple need to be going through a major relationship crisis before considering counselling? From what I've read, couples counselling isn't necessarily just about trying to "save" a relationship. It can also help couples work on things like: * Repeated communication problems * Constant arguments or unresolved conflicts * Loss of emotional connection * Trust issues * Differences in expectations * Financial or family-related stress * Major life changes It seems like one of the biggest benefits is having a neutral person help both partners understand what's actually happening instead of turning every disagreement into an argument. I'm curious what people in Singapore think about this. **For those who have tried couples counselling, what was the biggest thing you learned from the experience?**
