Thoughts on thetapal?

Someone mentioned it to me so I gave it a shot...it takes too long to update in my opinion. These numbers dont match reality.

Try this one stupid name to remember and unreliable but is free so I use it for Birds eye view, would like to work with developer since pl output is shit. You probably have delayed options data from your brokerage. Some brokerages definitely are much better than others. I noticed vanguard is slow AF but others much faster

It just looks good because my account is bigger and I can sell more options. Honestly my approach has just been following the swings and trying to time the bottom and top...somehow it feels like I cracked the code. There are far smarter people here than me if you wanna learn. I feel like im failing upwards sometimes.

That’s fair. How big is your account if you don’t mind me asking? Curious if people who do they gain actually make more than just sticking everything in SPY. I’m learning from a ton of people on here but just curious – do you wheel the same stocks again and again? Do you target a specific delta or a certain percent return?

I like tradesviz for trade journal, risk analysis, win rate calculations and insights. I think I pay like 15-20/mo, but the way I look at it is if it's able to help me identify risks and prevent losing even just .20 of premium on a single option, then it's paid for itself. I like to decide whether to pay or stop paying for a subscription/tool not based on it's price, but on it's value/ROI.
